Octagonal Pole

Octagonal poles are Tapered poles, having larger bottom diameter and smaller top diameter. Octagonal Poles are made by bending steel plates into an octagonal cross-section These poles are single line welded from top to bottom.
Octagonal poles are hot dip galvanized in a single dip therefore, they are corrosion resistant. During installation, the octagonal poles are erected on foundation bolts. The wires and cables are provided from beneath the ground level and into the galvanized poles.

The Octagonal Poles are tapered towards the top, they have one single longitudinal weld and no circumferential weld. The welding of the pole is done by submerged arc welding process. This ensures that the octagonal poles have maximum strength. The Octagonal Poles are made in single section up to a length of 12 meters.

The Galvanized Octagonal Poles are Hot Dip Galvanized up to a length of 12 meters in single dip. The Galvanization ensures that the poles are corrosion resistant and have larger life.

The brackets on top where the luminaries are fixed can be made of any design as per the customer requirement.

The Octagonal Poles are designed to withstand maximum wind pressure as specified in IS 875.

The baseplate of the octagonal poles is made by higher grade material as all the weight of the pole in concentrated on it. The baseplate has 4 no’s of slots for the foundation bolts. This baseplate is fillet welded to the pole from inside and outside.

The foundation bolts are casted into the concrete with the help of templates. The template makes sure that the foundation bolts do not move till the concrete is settled.

The Light Poles have an in-built junction box for the electrical connections. It has a four-way connector and a MCB connector. The electrical connections can be mounted on a bake-lite sheet for protection. During the installation of the octagonal pole, the pole is placed on the bolts and the nuts are tightened.
